SCHEDULE SERVICE

FIVE PILLARS FOR YOUR BEST EXPERIENCE

Mazda dealers follow five key pillars to ensure your best possible experience.

Convenient Online Scheduling

We’ve brought convenience, control and transparency to our online service scheduler. Experience benefits like 24/7 access, no hold times to set an appointment, the ability to browse and instantly confirm appointment times and transparent pricing for excellent maintenance when, where and how you want it.

Video Vehicle Inspections

These complete, behind-the-scenes views of your vehicle are a cornerstone of the Mazda Service Promise, designed to inspire trust and peace of mind. They include the most common wear items such as brakes, tires and batteries, and give you the ability to see what your technician is seeing and hear directly from them on any vehicle needs.

Communication On Your Own Terms

Our goal is to guide you throughout the service experience on your terms, in whatever way you choose. Whether you prefer text messages, phone calls, emails, or in-person conversations, we provide options that work for you.

Mobile Pay

With Mobile Pay, you can conveniently pay for your Mazda service from your smartphone. You’ll receive a digital invoice with final costs, and you can pay via credit card. Your pickup process is also streamlined; you can simply receive your keys and be on your way.

Courtesy Vehicles

Instead of sitting in a waiting room while your vehicle is in for service, you can take advantage of convenient online scheduling to book a Mazda Courtesy Vehicle to carry on with your busy life. You’ll get the chance to experience the exciting lineup of Mazda Vehicles.1

Will I receive a confirmation email and service appointment reminders after scheduling a service appointment?

Yes, you will immediately receive an appointment confirmation email after completing your appointment booking. You can reschedule your service appointment, if needed, by using your confirmation email. Service appointment reminders are typically sent 7 days and 1 day prior to your appointment using your preferred method via text and/or email.

Will I be offered the first available appointment when I schedule a service appointment?

Yes, you will be presented with the first available date and time for the services you selected during the appointment scheduling process.

Can I check for open Mazda Recalls when I schedule a service appointment?

Yes, you can enter your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) during the appointment scheduling process to check for open Recalls and add them to your cart as part of your appointment booking. Please have your VIN ready when you schedule your appointment for this feature.

What kind of transportation options are available for service appointments?

Mazda dealerships can offer a variety of convenient transportation options including, but not limited to, courtesy vehicles, pickup and delivery and Uber/Lyft - available transportation options are provided during the scheduling process.

  • Do all Mazda dealers offer video inspections?

Most Mazda dealers offer video inspections. Ask your dealer if they participate.

Do I need to request a video inspection of my Mazda vehicle?

No, participating dealers will provide you with a video inspection when they have completed the inspection. You will receive the inspection via text or email, whichever method of communication you identified as your preference at the time of check-in.

Is there a cost to receive the video inspection?

Video inspections are part of the Mazda Service Promise and the dealer’s commitment to delivering an exceptional experience; therefore, most dealers will not charge for the video. Consult your Mazda Dealer.

What information does the inspection video include?

At a minimum, the video shows the condition of wearable items such as brakes, tires, wipers, belts, filters and battery. It may also include other items that need attention.

Do I only receive a video when something is needed?

No, inspection videos are completed on every visit, allowing you to see items as they wear, reducing surprise repairs.

  • How can I contact my preferred Mazda dealership?

Most Mazda dealers use phone, text, email and in-person communication methods. Locate a dealer near you to get their contact information.

How does the Mazda Dealer know my preferred method of communication?

Most Mazda dealers will default to phone if you are not waiting for service at the dealership. If your preference changes, inform the dealer when you check in for a service.

If my preferred method of communication is phone or in-person, will I still receive a video inspection?

Yes, the dealer will still send you a video inspection via text or email. The dealer will confirm they have the correct mobile phone number or email address when you check in for service.

What should I do if my communication preference changes during the visit?

Contact the dealer and provide them with your updated communication preference.

  • What type of service is required to receive a Mazda courtesy vehicle?

Mazda dealers provide courtesy vehicles for any type of service or maintenance visit when a vehicle is available. Contact your dealer for availability.

Will I receive a Mazda courtesy vehicle on every visit?

Mazda dealers have a limited supply of courtesy vehicles; therefore, they are provided upon request and availability.

Is there a charge for a Mazda courtesy vehicle?

No, Mazda dealers provide courtesy vehicles at no charge (excluding fuel used/applicable toll usage). Some dealers have agreements with rental services for instances when a courtesy vehicle is not available. In this case, you may be charged.

I need alternative transportation when I take my vehicle in for service; however, driving a courtesy vehicle can be a hassle. Do Mazda dealers offer other types of alternative transportation?

Each Mazda Dealer offers different alternative transportation offerings. For example, some will offer ride share services, such as Uber or Lyft, while some operate their own shuttle service. Some will offer both. Contact your servicing dealer to determine what type of alternative transportation is offered.

Will I receive the same type of vehicle that I drive as a courtesy vehicle?

Mazda dealers try to provide a like vehicle or higher model vehicle; however, this is based on availability. In general, dealers have fewer higher end models in their courtesy vehicle fleets; therefore, availability of these vehicles may be limited and typically reserved for customers that have these models.

How long can I keep a Mazda courtesy vehicle?

There is no limit on the number of days a courtesy vehicle can be provided; however, the vehicle should be returned shortly after service is completed.

Is my vehicle insurance required to obtain a courtesy vehicle?

Yes, you are required to provide proof of insurance for the vehicle receiving repairs to qualify for a courtesy vehicle.

Can I let someone else drive the courtesy vehicle?

Yes, if they are listed on the courtesy vehicle agreement and if proof of a valid driver’s license and primary insurance coverage is provided.

Do I need to show my driver’s license to obtain a courtesy vehicle?

Yes, all drivers of a courtesy vehicle must have a valid driver's license and verification is required.

  • Is Mobile Payment available at all Mazda dealers?

Mobile Payment is available at participating Mazda dealers. Contact your servicing dealer to find out if they offer Mobile Payment.

How does Mobile Payment work at Mazda dealerships?

When the dealer has completed all services and finalized the invoice, the invoice is sent via text message or email. Included in the message is a “Pay Invoice” option. Enter all card information and submit. Once the card is approved, a receipt of payment is provided, and the dealer is immediately notified payment was made. When arriving to pick up your vehicle, visit the service advisor to obtain your keys and you are on your way.

What form of payment is accepted with Mobile Payment?

Form of payment accepted is dictated by the dealer’s payment processor. However, in general, Visa, MasterCard, Discover and Apple Pay are accepted. Contact your servicing dealer for details.

  • How often should Mazda vehicles be serviced?

Mazda vehicles should be maintained regularly to make sure they run optimally. Please refer to your Owner's Manual, or to the How to Use section of our Owners’ page, as service maintenance can vary by vehicle and driving habits.

How often should I take my Mazda to get an oil change?

This will depend on your Mazda vehicle, driving habits, and temperatures, so check with your local dealer or your Owner's Manual, or to the How to Use section of our Owners’ page, to see what is advised for your specific Mazda vehicle.

How much does a full Mazda service cost?

Maintenance and service costs vary from dealer to dealer, so it is best to check directly with a Mazda Dealership near you. Mazda offers a prepaid maintenance option with the Mazda Protection Products Prepaid Maintenance plan, which ranges from 1-5 years of coverage.
